Environmental Sustainability Plan
One way to define “sustainability” is “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
The Environmental Sustainability Plan is a road map to help Parks Tacoma do just that.
It aims to further limit the park district’s environmental impact and enhance the livability of Tacoma. It sets realistic targets and identifies ways to implement them. It establishes regular monitoring of the district’s progress. It is integral to our promise to deliver the best to our district and the people who live here.
