Important Camp Information

• TNC Members receive a 10% discount on camps
• Campers may not repeat camp themes. Only register camper for 1 week of each theme. Maximum 3 camps per camper.
• EXTENDED CARE AVAILABLE
  • Ages 6-12. 8:30am-9am & 3:30pm-5pm. Pre-registration required. Takes place at Tacoma Nature Center. $50 flat fee per week.
  • Available as an add-on to registered TNC campers.
  • No extended care available for half-day preschool camps.
  • Extended care registration will be available online beginning on April 1 at 9 am.
• An information letter will be emailed 3 weeks in advance of each camp. View an example information letter with a checklist to prepare for your upcoming nature camp.
• Financial assistance of up to 75% is available for qualifying families.

TNC Member Registration
Due to extremely high demand for limited TNC camp spots, in 2025 we piloted an online application and lottery-style system for camp registration for TNC Members. We plan to use a similar process in 2026 so are leaving the details here to help you plan for next year.

• TNC Nature Camp Application link will be available on this website from January 6 – 31.
• One application is required for each child.
• TNC Members may submit an online application for their desired camps anytime January 6-31 (this is an open period with no preference given for earlier submissions)
• Camp applications will be randomly drawn in a lottery; registrations processed between February 3-7.
• Notifications will be made beginning February 20 for camp and waitlist placements
• Must be a current TNC Member to participate in the TNC Camp Lottery.
• There is no guarantee that TNC members will get a space in camps. However, TNC members have priority registration through this lottery process over non-TNC members and will be placed in camps and/or on waitlists before general public registration opens.
• A $40 non-refundable deposit for each camp will be processed during the lottery registration process
• Full payment is due 2 weeks before each camp
• Non TNC Members may register for remaining spots and/or waitlist spots online beginning at 9 am on April 1.
