Point Defiance Park Water System Analysis Project

What will visitors see happening?

Visitors to Point Defiance Park may notice painted marks on the ground to show where utilities are located and crews digging in various areas.

What is this project?

The objective for the Water System Analysis Project is to develop a comprehensive condition assessment and inventory for the park’s water utility system including:

• Location, sizes, types, and conditions of all water mains throughout Point Defiance Park.
• Location and size of all services coming off the mains.
• Geolocations of all water utility meters, takeoff points to secondary irrigation systems, fire services, buildings and facilities.

Project Timeline

This project is expected to be completed by early 2024.
