Meet on the trail across from the back of the Zoo Maintenance buildings on North Animal Loop Rd.
Register online via MyImpact
We’ll meet at 9:30am with local botanist Romey Haberle for a 30 min. native plant walk to learn some native trees, shrubs, and spring wildflowers. At 10 am, join us to take back the trailside from pesky blackberries and other unwanted weeds! We will work in this sunny stretch of trail to free up native salmonberry and huckleberry in this favorite birding spot and entrance trail to our beautiful forest.
- Meet next to the trail entrance to Animal Loop Road.
- Tools and work gloves provided.
- This opportunity is best for anyone aged 12+ and great for anyone in need of Community Service Hours for school.
- Work party will take place rain or shine.
- Dress for the weather in clothes which could get dirty and wear sturdy closed-toed shoes or boots.
- Come back this fall for planting on November 15 for an all-ages opportunity.
