Youth ages 13-18 are invited to join the Leaders in Training (L.I.T.) program!
Leaders in Training is designed to support, develop, and increase teens’ skills and overall success through a variety of learn, play, and grow leadership opportunities. L.I.T. operates out of four community centers: Eastside Community Center, Center at Norpoint, People’s Center, and STAR Center.
Sign Up for L.I.T.In this program teens will:
- Grow their leadership knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Get experience, support and opportunities designed to give them an edge in future job pursuits
Students are encouraged to take advantage of all three programs:
- Teen Leadership Council (TLC)
- Leadership Training (LT) – Leadership training presented through group meetings and enriching group activities.
- Practicums – Work Experience/Job Preparedness – Teens will have opportunities to volunteer at Parks Tacoma events and programs that fit their skills and interests.
