Point Defiance Park has more than an acre of rose gardens, the oldest of which was established in 1895. The site includes a garden of miniature roses, arbors of climbing roses, a picturesque wishing well and quaint gazebos.
This beautiful formal garden features a grassy area. During the summer months it is surrounded with a colorful border of flowers. It is located between the Lodge and the Rose Garden Gazebo and provides a beautiful setting for weddings & ceremonies.
- Available for rent from June 1 through Sept 30
- 100 chairs are included with your rental (standard set-up and tear down of chairs is provided)
- Rented in two-hour blocks beginning at 11 am, 2 pm and 5 pm

Cancellation Policy
A 100% refund will be allowed for cancellations received 90 days prior to the contracted facility rental date. A 50% refund will be allowed for cancellations received 60-89 days prior to the contracted facility rental date. No refund will be allowed for cancellations within 60 days of the contracted facility rental date. Additionally, no refunds are given due to weather conditions.
Please remember that your facility rental is for the Lawn or Gazebo only. The rental client or Parks Tacoma cannot reserve parking spaces or restrict other people’s activities in the park nearby unless the activities are illegal.
- Our parks are open for public use and your experience may include:
- Various wildlife
- Loud music or park patrons
- Dogs running off-leash and/or dogs excessively barking
- People enjoying the park in close proximity to your rental space.
