Let’s get you on the journey to improve your fitness and wellness! Sign up for sessions of personal training at one of our 4 community centers.

  • Prior to training you must have free orientation with your trainer.
  • Please reference personal trainers bios or contact the Fitness Department to get further information on current trainers.
  • After orientation is complete you will work with trainer to schedule and fullfill packages that were purchased.
  • All sessions must be complete within 1 year of purchase.
  • Please refer to refund policy for further information.

Orientation

Prior to training you must have an orientation with your trainer. Orientations are free.

The orientation will help prepare you to be safe in our facilities, use the equipment appropriately and know the rules.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

There is a 24-hour cancelation policy for personal training sessions. If you cancel one of your sessions after the 24-hour window, you will be charged for that session.

  • If you purchase a personal training package and do not complete any sessions you will be offered a 50% refund.
  • If you complete sessions and then need to cancel, you will be eligible to be prorated depending on how many sessions you have left and the circumstance.

Hi, I’m Mary – a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor with over 20 years of experience helping people move better, feel stronger, and stay motivated. I’m ISSA-certified and spent the last two years leading classes and training sessions at Center at Norpoint with Parks Tacoma.

Group Fitness Instructors 14I am passionate about working with older adults, and those with significant health issues, who want to improve their strength, stamina, mobility, flexibility, and balance. I believe that exercise is the key to a life of independence. Exercise has been shown to have positive effects on pain, sleep, depression, anxiety, chronic diseases, fall prevention, and the list goes on. As we age, exercise becomes even more important for our quality of life. Extensive experience working with vulnerable adults has shown me how important it is to keep moving and exercise those muscles. And, we will have fun improving your quality of life!

Eastside Fitness 6As a lifelong resident of Tacoma, I enjoy all the physical activities this community offers: soccer, golf, tennis, volleyball, trail running, even my first marathon at age 48! I realized it is vital to have a solid foundation for athletic performance through strength and conditioning. I’m passionate about helping and encouraging people. My top goal is making sure people are safe and comfortable in the gym to meet their fitness goals. I aim to connect with as many people as possible to enjoy this gym to its full potential.

Hi, I’m Sandy Zimmermann- a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and IIN Health Coach. Since 2019, I’ve helped busy professionals and seniors build strength and lose fat sustainably. Originally from Auburn, I’ve called Tacoma home since 2021 and love being part of this community. With a background in business and experience as a former Starbucks HQ Analyst, I understand busy lifestyles and how to make health fit into them.
