Cummings Stage Performers

Stage DJ: DJ Sureal

Tamao George Yasutake AKA DJ Sureal has been an area DJ, beatmaker and Hip-Hop enthusiast in Seattle for over 20 years. Coming from a diversely talented family, George decided to follow in his oldest Brother’s footsteps (DJ Hardcut) to become a DJ like him. As a member of the Universal Zulu Nation, George has had the pleasure of rocking along with some of Hip-Hop’s most important pioneers. Presently, when not working with the youth in the community, George loves being onstage as DJ Sureal backing up local MC Hero Yirim Seck or spinning breaks for the B-Boys and B-Girls. When not DJing, George is active in the community via his daily work with the City of Seattle Parks & Recreation, searching for the perfect beat at used record stores or competing in local bass tournaments.

Emily McVicker

3:00-4:00 PM | Cummings Stage

Emily McVicker is a one-woman show of a variety of styles and performance. With a bit of live-looping, beatboxing, theatrical flare and heartfelt delivery, this quirky musical lady will have you bobbing your head and singing along ~ Great for all ages!

Alex Rasmussen

4:30-5:30 PM | Cummings Stage

As an artist who’s been writing and performing music for over twenty years, spanning several genres, Seattle-based singer-songwriter, novelist, and poet Alex Rasmussen has finally found a sonic home in his current musical incarnation: a unique blend of folk and rock inspired by life’s highs, lows, and every evasive emotion in between.

From the stomach-twisting rush of a whirlwind romance to the searing regret of habitual self-sabotage; from the Pacific Northwest to New Orleans—Tennessee to the Texas hill country; each of Alex’s songs is a mile marker along a potholed highway, driven with crossed fingers toward some sense of understanding.

For this performance at Tacoma’s Summer Blast, Alex will be joined by virtuosic local fiddler Julie Baldridge.

Tekla Waterfield

6:00-7:00 PM | Cummings Stage

Seattle based singer/songwriter Tekla Waterfield creates songs inspired by lived experiences and presents them through her lens of Soulful, Americana Folk. Waterfield has received praise for her work from Sonic Guild, SMASH, Artist Home, Doe Bay Artist Retreat, 4Culture, KEXP, NPR, KBCS, KUTX, One Reel, No Depression, American Songwriter and more. Her song, Better Days from her album, “Trouble In Time” was selected as a national finalist in the 2021 US Songwriting Competition. In partnership with her husband, Jeff Fielder, Waterfield released a new single, I See You Mama; an homage to motherhood; on May 9, 2025. The duo will release two more singles leading up to their second album as a duo, set to be released September of 2025.

Triple Treat Band

7:30-8:30 and 9:00-10:00 PM | Cummings Stage

Triple Treat is a talented seven-piece group that plays a wide variety of fun party music you can dance to. Enjoy both old school and new R&B music with Motown flavor, led by three female vocalists who can really sing, dance and entertain.

Dune Peninsula Stage Schedule

Stage DJ: Abbie Gobeli

Abbie is an On-Air Host and DJ at KEXP 90.3 FM in Seattle. After escaping the cornfields of Iowa, she wrangled her music chops in the Promised Land of Prince–a.k.a. Minneapolis where she spent most her time curating the airwaves of Radio K, crowdsurfing at First Avenue, and eating poutine when available.  After graduating, she delivered records to the world at Saddle Creek Records in Omaha, NE, delved in the Glaswegian music scene, and finally landed in Seattle at KEXP.  She has done her due diligence spinning vinyl and sound-waves at various venues in Seattle, Vancouver, and Minneapolis. In the spare time she has created for herself, she manages post-punk outfit ACTORS (Vancouver, BC) and the ethereal pop of Tiny Deaths (Los Angeles).

Kate Dinsmore

3:00-4:00 PM | Dune Peninsula Stage

Kate Dinsmore is a singer-songwriter based in Seattle, WA. A dynamic performer and vocalist, Dinsmore brings her songs to the stage with an undeniable presence. Deeply rooted in singer/songwriter traditions, she brings a modern pop sensibility to timeless lyrics and melodies. Dinsmore has built a fervent fan base in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, allowing her to share stages with notable artists Pat Benatar and Colin Hay.

Bigtooth

4:30-5:30 and 6:00-7:00 PM | Dune Peninsula Stage

Welcome to Seattle’s “Dad Pop” band, BIGTOOTH – part chorus, part campfire song, part skeleton key and part honey pot, dripping with melody. Electric-blue harmonies buoy big guitar chords and bright lightning bolt rhythms. No influence is out of bounds, no wave unworthy of the surf. It’s a blend of ingredients that harkens back to traditional styles and yet portends new positions of exclamation. For a special set of covers, Bigtooth will add Paige Sandusky.

Wild Rumours

7:30-8:30 and 9:00-10:00 PM | Dune Peninsula Stage

“Just as Cirque du Soleil elevates the circus to an art form, Wild Rumours transforms Fleetwood Mac’s music into a captivating masterpiece”

Wild Rumours focuses on the apex Buckingham-Nicks era material, creating an authentic concert experience with dramatic crescendos and moments of quiet intimacy. The band, comprised of an all-star cast of Seattle-based musicians, takes liberty with the material, adding their personal stamp on some of the greatest pop music ever created.
