Meet Point Defiance Zoo Parking Lot D (view map)
Register online via MyImpact
Join us for a volunteer Work Party to remove Himalayan blackberries and help protect the natural beauty of Point Defiance Park! These fast-growing canes crowd out native plants, reduce healthy wildlife habitat, and make it harder for our forests to thrive. By spending a few hours clearing blackberries, you’ll make a lasting difference for one of our community’s most treasured parks.
What You’ll Do
- Remove unwanted weeds
- Care for newly planted native plants
- Learn about local ecology and restoration practices
- Have fun working with fellow nature lovers
What to Bring
Wear sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a water bottle. Tools, gloves, and training provided.
Where to Meet
Please meet at Point Defiance Zoo Parking Lot D and we’ll walk over as a group to the work party.

Free parking is available at the Point Defiance Zoo Parking Lot D.
