4-hour rental minimum
The Owen Beach Pavilion is available for picnics, small parties, and event rentals. Rental customers have private use of the interior pavilion only. There is a sink, counter, and restroom inside the pavilion. Electricity, heat, folding tables and chairs provided. There is wifi access but no A/V equipment available.
Rates:
- Friday – Sunday: $230/hour
- Monday – Thursday: $150/hour
Additional Required Fees:
- Damage Deposit: $300 (fully refundable after event)
- Cleaning fee: $185
Parking: Shared public lot with other Owen Beach visitors
Food and beverages:
- Renters are allowed to pack-in/pack-out their own food and beverages
- No alcohol allowed
- Catering allowed
- Food trucks and carts are not permitted at this location
- Other food and beverages can be purchased through the adjacent concession stand during open hours

Owen Beach Picnic Shelter Accessibility (rating 4)
- Parking: Accessible parking exists and provides a level, paved route to the shelter.
- Route: Route is paved, however some sloped areas exceed 5%, and there are tread disruptions.
- Tables: Tables are placed by the user to provide own seating arrangements. Transition from ground into pavilion is level.
- Amenities: Most amenities are in reach range; approach determined by room set up.
- Restrooms: Internal and external restrooms provided and marked accessible; restrooms are on accessible route.

Please be advised, your facility rental is for the pavilion only.
The rental client and Parks Tacoma cannot reserve parking spaces or restrict other people’s activities in the park nearby unless the activities are illegal. Our parks are open for public use and your experience may include:
- Various forms of wildlife
- Loud music or park patrons
- Dogs in the park and/or dogs excessively barking
- People enjoying the park in close proximity to your rental space.

Rental Terms
- The minimum 4 hour rental fee is required at the time of reservation if made more than 90 days in advance of event date. If rental is booked within 90 days of event, all fees are due at time of booking.
- Signed rental paperwork is due within 2 weeks of booking.
- Event set-up, tear down and clean up time is included in the contracted event times.
- All events are required to dismiss by sunset.
- Bounce houses are not permitted.
- Do not place small hibachis, table-top barbecues or any other hot items on top of picnic tables.
- Overall facility appearance and condition at Parks Tacoma facilities may change between venue viewing and the day of the scheduled event.
Cancelation Policy
- 90+ days before event – 100% refund minus cancelation fee
- 89-60 days before event – Minimum facility rental fee kept, remaining paid fees refunded
- Less than 60 days before event – no refund
Date/Time Change
- 90+ days before event – allowed if space/staff available, subject to change fee
- Less than 90 days before event – considered case by case, subject to change fee
