Who are adaptive camps for?
-
Elementary aged campers receiving 1:1 support and/or placed in self-contained special education settings during the school day and who are otherwise not yet ready to participate in general summer camps are welcome to register for our sensory friendly and adaptive camps.
Our camps also welcomes up to one sibling for full integration in camp, and parents are welcome to join us at field trip locations. Campers must not present behaviors that would be considered a safety risk to themselves or others in recreational settings.
Reasonable accommodations will be provided to help campers access activities and support positive, safe engagement as much as is possible. All families are asked to complete an Accommodation Request Form informing camp staff of their camper’s needs to successfully participate in camp as early as possible.
