Point Defiance Loop Trail Grand Opening Celebration

Loop Trail at Point Defiance Park is now open! Join us to celebrate on Friday, July 31 at 3:00 pm with a ribbon cutting and a guided walk on the new trail. Festivities will begin at the Japanese Garden, then continue to Owen Beach on the newly opened trail.
This expanded trail project will improve visitor safety by separating and buffering pedestrians and cyclists from vehicular traffic. Utilizing existing sections of roadway, this project will improve both vehicular and non-motorized circulation, connecting more visitors to Point Defiance Park.
