What are monkeyshines?
-
Monkeyshines are a part of a Tacoma tradition where artists hide glass floats and medallions around Tacoma, Washington, usually around Lunar New Year. The tradition began in 2003 when Ms. Monkey and her husband, Mr. Monkey, decided to make and hide the glass pieces to brighten up the mood around town.
