Due to a concern for public safety and to reduce confusion between McKinley Park and McKinley Playfield, the Board of Park Commissioners resolved to rename McKinley Playfield to Verlo Playfield on March 31, 2014. Ben and Reba Verlo were hard workers who invested time and money into kids and kids’ programs and impacted many lives.
