Parks Tacoma is currently in design for Phase 2 for Peck Community Sports Park. Construction is anticipated to begin in summer or fall 2026.
On August 11, 2025, the Park Board approved a $703,232 contract with Fora Landscape Architects to provide design support through construction of Phase 2 of the project. This will include:
- Full design development for the entire park, informed by additional community input, and
- Construction documents, permitting and construction-phase services for a synthetic multi-use sports field, fencing, and restroom building.
Peck Community Sports Park Projects
Parks Tacoma comprehensively and collaboratively developed a schematic plan for Peck Community Sports Park (formerly known as Peck Athletic Complex) that reflects the community’s priorities, along with the placement of one all-season, multi-sport field at this location. The Park Board approved the updated master plan on December 11, 2023.

- Phase 1 focused on the construction of Tacoma Public School’s baseball field, which was complete in December 2024.
- Phase 2 includes the design and construction of a multiuse synthetic field, fencing and restroom.
